Mobile On a budget what to take for villa

So this trip is costing me a lot more than I wanted and I’m going for longer so looking at what items are cheaper over here with the exchange rate being so bad for it to be cheaper.

I like to bring back purchases, so happy to take stuff out with me so that I can have room for the return. I usually take shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc, but not so much items for a villa.

I’ll be staying on my own for 2/3 weeks so even food (bearing in mind can’t take in fruit, veg, meats etc) as will definitely be eating in a lot, and then have another 3 weeks with the husband.

What would you suggest to take? Thank you in advance.

Following along cos we are in a villa. Although I don’t really need to be strict on budget we still like to try and be sensible where we can.

I’m getting some laundry leafs. Mainly cos we are going on a cruise so there will be spare from that. Few little squirty bottles of juice from home bargains. Usual shower gel, razors, cream, deodorant etc.

Dollar tree will be your friend for the likes of trash bags if you don't
Ike we do use the 700 carrier bags you accumulate Dishwasher tabs
Laundry detergent anti bac wipes etc
Even pasta tomato sauce ketchup sugar salt pepper cereal
Also Aldi for fruit veg etc
Don't think you will find it as expensive to eat in if you are going for a longer period buying the larger better value packs of chicken meat fish
Burgers etc and utilise the villa freezer

I always take;
Dishwasher tablets
Washing up liq
Scourer/sponge
Antibac wipes
Bin bags
Cling film
Kitchen towel
Hand soap
Shampoo
Conditioner
Shower gel
Suncream

Basically anything that I know I’ll use (except loo roll) because I have it already and don’t want to spend holiday money on it.

I also take tea, cereal, baked beans, English muffins, jam, cereal bars, ketchup, salt and pepper, again, anything I can take with me.

You’ll get the people who take nothing and tell you to buy it out there, but I like to take as much as I can, and then leave room in my case.

Take out your favourite tea bags and maybe coffee. We also take our favourite biscuits and HP Sauce, as in Florida they want at least $8 for a small bottle.

As Helen (Gryff) has said, Dollar Tree is a brilliant shop to use.

Have a brilliant time.

Echo above

Dishwasher tablets
Laundry tabs, mainly so you don’t to buy a pack of 50!
Salt, pepper, dried herbs, I little spray bottle of oil.
The pasta stir in sauces are handy and in plastic containers rather than heavier jars.
Curry paste pots.
Wipes, I’d probably stick in a few toilets rolls. Again so you aren’t having to buy a massive pack.
Little juice squash things oh and of course tea bags (if you drink tea that is)

Not toilet rolls! Ours are thicker than theirs and their plumbing pipes are narrower and they may cause a blockage. I used to own a villa and it was the one thing I reminded guests not to take.

If you booked direct it is worth speaking to the villa owner as some basics may be supplied, for example we have large tub of dishwasher tablets available for our guests use.

Does everyone not find that tea tastes weird over there?

Think I will take dishwasher tablets this year too

Take whatever you can but please no toilet roll, it clogs our pipes!
