Airbnb booking - registering details

Hi

My son and his friends are going to Tokyo in September and have booked an Airbnb. They have been asked to register their details by the host on faminect-customers.jp - this is accessed via a link they have been sent. Has anyone else had to do this?

I am not sure - I am going to get him to check with his friend who I think has already completed it. Part of the booking rules state all non Japanese guests must provide information including name, address, passport number and that photographic ID will be required. The host is a super host and has his licence number listed on Airbnb. I've never used Airbnb before so it's all new to usi

I did provide Airbnb with these details as it took ages to get them to accept my photo id. Maybe they passed it on to the host for me. I�m sure it�s all correct and above board. 😊

With new Minpaku law all hosts are going to register who stays at their Air b&b it will be way of ensuring that law is followed they can keep track of how many days they have guests as law has renting limits.
