Surprise holiday!

Hi dibbers,

I’ve been a lurker for quite a while now while I absorbed plenty of ideas and information from everyone. My last visit to WDW was 20 years ago as a teenager!

I have now booked a surprise holiday to WDW for August next year for my wife and son, who will be 9 when we go. My plan is for a big Xmas reveal to them both. 🤫

We did DLP last summer and it is safe to say we have all got the Disney bug. So much so they want to go to back... I cannot wait to let them know I’ve booked the ‘upgrade’!

Accommodation is booked for Coronado Springs with QSDP. Just waiting for flights to be released now!

Fortunately she has never heard of the Dibb so I’m confident my ruse won’t be rumbled on here!

Anyway I look forward to getting loads of hints, tips and ideas from everyone here over the next 370 days!

Welcome Troyston and congratulations on your booking. When I revealed florida to my children I bought a mickey and Minnie balloon and put them into a box with details of our planned visit.When they opened it they were overjoyed six times later we are off next week they are now 21 and sixteen they first went as a two and seven year old. Enjoy your planning my friend.

Welcome. We did our reveal with a letter from Santa and a Disney ballon. The look on our daughters face was priceless. Happy memories. Keep in touch with the Dibb you will pick up all kinds of tips and ideas also when the flight bargains are to be had.

Wow that's so lovely. You're gonna be best Husband & Dad forever after that. Our disney reveal for the children was a scavenger hunt around the house with a word found at each location spelling out "In 6 weeks we are going to Disneyworld". Squeeeee! 😀
