Anyone know if you can change resort point allocation at 7 months?

Having always only owned at one resort, point allocation is something I've never had to consider.

Say I've booked a stay at 11 months with my BCV points, at 7 months, can I change the allocation to CCV points, to free up the BCV points for another 11 months booking advantage?

When we bought the add on, they did some playing with point allocation as we'd bought after the banking deadline so it needed a spacial authorisation to bank them, she booked with 2019 points to secure the last room that was available, then once the 2018 points were banked, changed the allocation which gave me the idea, just not sure if we can do it for our benefit or if that was a 'favour' as we'd just added on.

Anyone know or done this before?

I don't think that you can do this.

I suspect not as it would allow gaming of the system.

I think you can only do it if the room type is still available for booking at the 7 month point (so you aren't technically getting the 11 month advantage). This obviously wouldn't work for the in demand room types.

Yes that would really just be a cancellation (on current points) and rebook (on new points) in one transaction.
