car rental or uber for disneyland?

I've heard LA is a driving place so a car is necessary. But would it be easier to Uber from Santa Monika to Disneyland or drive there? Is it easy to get an Uber back?

Going with my wife and two kids if that helps

I'm going to DL in a week and I'm planning to Uber anywhere I need to go. Seems like Uber is fairly easy to get at DL from everything I've read.

If you want to price up the options don't forget to add in the cost of parking at DL...

Also, is this a day trip, or are you spending more than one day in DL? Asking as from everything I've heard the traffic can be very bad between DL and LA, so commuting for more than a day wouldn't be fun...

We used Uber in LA and LV but we also had a rental car, I would never go the US without a car, New York and SAN Fran excepted. I don�t want to be reliant on someone else I want freedom to do what I want stop where I want etc

Update: I went with the car but got a traffic ticket. Worst experience ever
