We did a Wish Trip a few years ago and also stayed at GKTW village. We went in April which was lovely and not too hot. Wish families get front of line passes for all rides or you get on the ride at the exit so it doesn’t really matter how busy the parks are. My top tip for your friend would be to spend as much time as you can at the village as it is a truly magical place x

Yes, I think that's different people and their expectations.
I always feel similar when I hear about the immigration queues being horrendous. We understand a queue is normal and therefore have never had a "bad" experience with it. If you go in with an expectation of no queues and being treated like royalty then all it can ever do is disappoint.
I started on September visits pre kids, fastpasses weren't required, and costs were much lower, but as good as that was, I wouldn't swap it for having the kids to enjoy it with !
