Question 144 hour China transit visa HELP!

Anyone ever heard of this 144 hour China transit visa when visting Shanghai Disneyland?

If I’m travelling from UK- Hong Kong - Shanghai- Tokyo back to the UK can I apply ?

Yes, as long as you enter from one country and exit to another you can use the 144 hour visa. In your case you will be fine as HK counts as another country even though officially it is in China.

Thanks I was so so confused. The information on the internet is not clear at all. I wasn’t sure as my origin at start of holiday is UK and will be landing back in UK at end of holiday (after Tokyo).

Do I inform airport in UK or Hong Kong? my destination before Shanghai is Hong Kong.

I did the transit without visa last year.I visited my son in Japan but stopped on the way to do Great Wall i went USA to beijing then to Japan it took so long to get processed 2 hours but i think they have got more efficient processing transit visas. You will love China its beautiful. I am hoping to take my 3 kids next June stay 6 days in Beijing on the way to Japan again want to see more parts of great wall.Shanghai also on list maybe following year.
