New Watership Down

"There's a dog loose in the woods! There's a dog loose in the woods!

BBC and Netflix have teamed up to do a new version of Watership Down. It will have four, one hour parts. It will be CGI.

I'm not sure what to make of this. The original version is one of my all time favourite children's films. I haven't seen it in many years but I remember it vividly. I bet it would scare the c**p out of kids these days. I'm going to see if I can find it somewhere!

Rumour has it that the new version will be a less scary. So basically it Watered Down Ship.

The new one best have Bright Eyes. The General is still the scariest villain ever!

That is one of the most disturbing films I have ever seen. I am still scarred by watching it as a child, it just has a really creepy aura about it, and not just because the rabbit dies. T

I remember the original from when I was a sprog. Ch5 showed it two or three Easters ago on an Easter Sunday to a shed load of complaints from parents (probably of my age) for poor little Tommy or Tarquin or Tabatha or whomever getting upset.
And there I was thinking, "don't you remember this from your childhood?!"... Kids today

I watched the original on Sunday with one of my kids. No way would they show this now! I loved it. My daughter thought it was boring!

Anyone else watch? Bit long and lacking Bright Eyes but overall I enjoyed it. Wasn't sure about the animation though and the voices of the actors were far superior in the original.

I was really looking forward to this but it didn't deliver for me, much preferred the original... And it definately needed bright eyes 🐇🐇🐇
