NYC Flight costs
Hi
I am looking for flights btw Xmas 28/29th through to around the 3rd Jan 2019/20 I am too late to start the comparisons of this years flights so I wondered if anyone was travelling around this time , when they book, the route they took , who they flew with and the cost per person ( inc seats selection , meals , bags etc) OR Has anyone done this during the last couple of years? Just so I have a rough idea what I'd be looking at. Thank you

In 2016 I think we paid €330 from SW France via LHR to NYC for 21/12 to 31/12 booked in about July.
There are often deals to NYC as there are more flights there!

BA have some hotel / flight offers at the moment, might still be worth keeping an eye on.
We often book something with them in the new years sales, but as a lot of thier cheaper deals are often via their AA codeshare partners not sure they would be up in time before the sale ends. But still might be worth looking at. Have only ever done NYC as a stop over en route to Orlando so cannot comment on actual prices, but found BA the cheapest, I think in the main as we got such deep hotel discounts. Flights and hotel were only about £75 more than the rack rate for the hotel alone at one hotel I looked at. |

We are going on the 26th December, back on the 31st. Flying direct from Manchester to JFK with Virgin, (codeshare with Delta). Booked via NetFlights in April and paid £975 for 2 adults and 1 teen aged 14. As I booked through NetFlights that includes 1 suitcase each and I've done seat selection, which didn't cost anything.
Can't wait! Just hope Virgin pilots don't decide to strike!

I am also waiting patiently for flights to come out for next year. Hoping to go 27th November - 1st December. We don't need to book a hotel as DH has enough Marriott hotels points so just the flights. I'm really hoping that BA or Virgin will have a January sale so that we can get them for around £350 each.

Hi !
I booked Virgin through Netflights. Direct MAN to JFK. Paid £290 for Classic so including seats and luggage, going through Virgin Atlantic was a good £100 each more at the time. It wasn't a sale period as such I just kept going on to check prices. Not sure the reason for the big difference in price. This was for feb half term. |
