We have it heated all year normally, the pump runs twice a day to circulate the water for about 20 mins. We use it between 2-4 times a week.

Ours is a 3 year old Jacuzzi that holds 6 people.
Thanks - thats some really interesting stats.
So you'd think my 4 degree drop overnight is pretty poor then.

How long did you go to America for?

I don't suppose you know them make of your lid?

Sometimes an image says 1000 words... .
How does my lid compare to yours? Is it thick enough?

We were away for a 9 days in total so I think 4 degrees overnight is pretty poor.

Ours is a Jacuzzi cover. I wouldn't be able to move it without the lifter as its really heavy.

Does your lid get frosty? Ours gets a thick frost on it that only melts when the sun hits it, it doesn't melt from the hottub heat.

I'll keep an eye on that, we've only had it 2 weeks - and only 1 day of frost.

The height of the cover is 5.5cm at the front and 10cm in the middle... But that includes the vinyl.

I'll have a look at ours tomorrow when I get home, it's pouring with rain at the minute! I think ours is the same height all the way across though.

This exactly, we have a seven seater Jacuzzi model, bought last year. Lid has a lifter and keeps the heat in extremely well. We have ours set to 37.5 and it's usually 38.8 when we open the lid.

Ours costs around £30.00 a month to run as well and like Bella we have it on a cycle of twice a day.

This is great info, I'm looking to get one when I move next year but am currently clueless. I hadn't even considered the cost of running it so when I saw £120 a month I had second thoughts! Glad it can be much more reasonable.

Apparently it depends on the hot tub - the more expensive the original outlay, often the cheaper the monthly bills.

Ours also has a heavy lid with a lifter and like others retains its heat well - although it’s made by Hotspring not jacuzzi - ours is kept constantly at 39 degrees other than during the hottest part of the summer when we had it on mid twenties to have a dip in the ‘pool’ to cool off! Our bill is £30 a month.

I'll hopefully update to a hard cover when I find a cheap one on ebay.
Same as this one... With a large cover and a lifter...
