Starting to panic - internal flights

Hi,

We're going on holiday for 2 special birthdays - 3 nights in Miami, a week on Symphony of the Seas cruise and then a week in Naples. I've booked everything except internal flight back (we're flying direct from LHR-MIA but indirect back from JFK-LHR as I booked with miles). I thought itwould be better to come back from Fort Myers, as it's the closest airport to Naples but the flight prices from Fort Myers to New York airports are 250-300 each. Would rather not have to drive back to Miami and then get a flight to New York (but even those prices are just as high!) The date I'm looking for is Sat 20th April. Do you think there's still hope of them coming down in price?! Any help appreciated... thanks all.

Snowbirds travel down from the Northern states (including New York) to winter in the warmer climate of Florida; particularly the Gulf Coast.

Many return home around Easter, ie, in the direction of & at around the time you’re looking at.
I would guess at the Fort Myers-JFK route being a massively popular route for snowbirds as those from other locations, ie, Canada will find it easy to transit in the likes of JFK.

You may find a glitch or flash sale on prices but suspect that at this point, the cheaper fares have long been snatched up by said snowbirds & Easter is already at the very top of peak season on the Gulf Coast.

Good luck.

Straight along Alligator Alley (I75), just under 2 hours.

In your opinion, would it be easier going to NY from Fort Lauderdale airport or Miami? Thanks

Your problem is that the 20th is Easter weekend - this is a "premium" flight price weekend for all Airlines - they aren't going to drop much more than they already have

This is a premium weekend as said above. The further north in FL you go the cheaper it gets so JAX is cheaper for your dates.

I've driven from marco to MCO to fly home - it's just as easy as MIA or fll

FLL would be my preference
