GoPro/waterproof camera
Just wondering what people have and which is better looking for a camera to take to parks and water parks? Are you able to use on roller coasters? TIA

I've got a cheapo version of the Go Pro - GoXtreme Endurance Action Cam. It was recommended by a friend who took it snorkelling in the Caribbean. I don't care how cameras look - the important thing for me is they do the job I want it to.

We have the Hero 5 which is waterproof, no need for the extra cover. Great footage on rollercoasters which we could use in Disney, didn't use it much in Universal as most rides needed you to put everything in lockers. Great undewater photos.

We have a cheap knock off Gopro called an Apeman. It works pretty well apart from the zoom which is terrible. But you don't tend to do loads of zooming when wearing an action cam anyway. You can buy all the accessories and mounts very cheaply on Amazon. The most important mount for taking it on rides is a chest strap. We just bought a special mount that works with our Easybreath snorkel masks as well so I can't wait to try that out.
We also use an Olympus tough TG4 camera as our main camera and sometimes for underwater filming too as it's better quality. Edited at 04:30 PM. |

We use a go pro for video and TG4 for underwater photos.
Love our TG4 -great quality pics. The go pro is fine but is more about capturing the memory easily and not having to carry a video camera rather than quality. |

Disney seem pretty lax about how GoPro's are secured. Some Cast Members may request you use the Chest or Wrist Mount, others will let you take it free hand or with a HandGrip Stabiliser.
Ive always wondered why a chest mount was needed when on rides like Big Thunder you have people holding a phone that could easily fly out of their hand. |

Cool, we have a float hand-grip thing with a wrist strap. Hopefully can get away with that!
