Mobile Just Made a Stew, How Do Dish Yours Up?

So I’ve just made a slow cooker full of beef stew 😃 The whole house smells lovely, I will be serving it with a giant Yorkshire pudding today as this is the family’s favourite.
We do sometimes have it with dumplings or pancakes but they do love their Yorkshire puds in this house!
So it got me thinking What do you normally serve your stew with? Is it usually the whole family’s choice or the choice of who’s making it?

Jane 😁

We have it with dumplings and a couple of normal yorkshire puddings. Then have any left the next day and it always tastes better to me.

Dumplings usually or in a giant Yorkie pud each and if thee are only two of us, the way Seaworld used to serve it, in a hollowed out loaf of bread

depends on the contents of the stew, but usually with mash or some sort of potato (if there isnt any in the stew already) and maybe some steamed veg.

i always make far too much (deliberately), so whats left over goes into tubs into the freezer for later

sometimes i stick it in pastry and make pies out of the leftovers

Potatoes, sometimes dumplings as well but always potatoes (either jacket, mash or sliced on top according to how I've cooked it) but never bread and never ever Yorkshire pudding.
