Ooh, is Gordon going to play nicely? We can’t have his usual aggression on this version!

Can the episodes be caught up anywhere?
I lived in Australia and used to regularly go to Georges restaurants, I even have a photo on my birthday one year.
I thought it was really good and would love to watch it.
I have Virgin basic tv package

Anyone watching? I’m just shocked that they made cherry pit ice cream... cherry pits are poisonous (contain cyanide) especially when crushed and as little as 2 crushed cherry pits can kill?... baffled, but let’s say I’m not going to try making it...or at least not for anyone I like..

Yes, I'm watching it - love it!

Had no idea about the cherry pits, but did think it was a bit of an odd ingredient

Just looking on Google and there are loads of pages with recipes using cherry pits. Apparently they contain a small amount of cyanide, not arsenic, that's the same compound found in apple pips (and lots more). Seems like the toxicity is very low:

Sorry, got the wrong poison, but there’s a ton of articles about the toxicity of cherry pits, and lots of contradictions... I do remember sending 7 kids to A&E last year because they had made smoothies using whole cherries... consulted Toxbase (national poisons database) who advised A&E because the crushed pits were very dangerous...

I have to admit that now I know about it, it's not something that I'd try. Though I do wonder why chefs seem happy to serve their customers something that could potentially cause a toxic reaction, and the lawsuit that would likely follow

I did try Nigellas ruby chocolate cheesecake recipe and it was gorgeous... but I’m going to give the cherry pit ice cream a miss... I’m thinking if there was only 1 pit per portion it would be fine but I’d still worry about giving someone an upset stomach... or worse...
