Appointments

Its come round to DD round of appointments again, every six months she has to have loads, and i am feeling a bit bombarded at the moment. We have already rescheduled one 'routine' appointment as her regular consultant is away and i just cant face explaining all to a 'new' professional, only for him not to be able to offer anything constructive and never see again. She has her regular 6 monthly eye test with eye drops on Monday, an appointment for her shoes/feet the following week, a pre op on the 9th october, MRI scan on the 18 th october, dentist on the 19th october, no doubt a hearing test appointment will be winging its way to us. I am not complaining as all of this is all so important to her health, but just feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Redo of school statement also is due to, and she has just been added to list for speech therapy, and meant to be seeing the hospital play therapist for help with coping with the MRI scan.

I know what you mean. I’ve had an influx of appointments for both my Ds and Dd and when I was trying to arrange a set of dental appointments for myself it was a nightmare. They kept giving me dates and I was like, sorry can’t make that one as they clashed.

Also I end up doing all appointments alone as it’s Dh busy time so it can feel a bit overwhelming. I went for my flu jab yesterday as I’m worried about getting ill and not being able to get them to appointments. Xx

Its complete chaos isnt it! I had to now change her flu jab appt until after her scan now as it will have been too close for her scan! I am scanning all her letters to send into school as she will need quite a few days off! At least they should be done by November.
