Antelope Canyon or Similar
I'm planning a trip to Vegas/Grand Canyon at the end of the month and are looking at driving up to Page to see Horseshoe Bend and see a slot canyon as they look incredible in photos
I can get a bit claustrophobic, the idea of caving is terrifying to me and can worry at bit at crowds, so there's my concern. I'm fine somewhere like Disney where the crowds are between me and the thing I want I just zone into moving from A-B, but don't think being trapped between high walls and a load of people will go down well The obvious choice because of the claustrophobic thing would be the Upper Canyon tours as its a walk in/out, no ladders etc, but then the crowds issue is pulling me towards the Lower Canyon as it'll be quieter It's going to be winter so maybe the crowds wont be too bad... Then there are others like antelope canyon x or other less famous options which have fewer reviews so difficult to judge Does anyone have any experience/thoughts/advice?

We did Antelope Canyon and it was stunning. I don’t suffer from Claustrophobia but don’t recall it being too compact or narrow. There are no places you can’t walk normally through and the crowds are controlled as you can only access it via an organised tour. Our tour guide was excellent and kept the group moving at a good pace so there was no feeling of being hemmed in. I would recommend a tour early or late in the day as there will be less people as everyone goes for midday, when the light is meant to be the most beautiful. However we went late afternoon and it was still one of the most beautiful places I have been.
You can see a few pics in my trip report called Cacti and Canyons. Hope this helps |

Hi, we did Peek a Boo canyon in Kanab with window of the west hummer tours, look at them on tripadvisor. There were no crowds, looks similar to antelope canyon. We had a great time and such a friendly family company. Definitely no issues with claustrophobia there as not underground and not a closed environment feeling. Also you could stop in Kanab for the shops / have lunch / breakfast.
