Touch and go for me ref how much petrol I would use compared to diesel.

My Son has just bought a new 5 series and he does maybe 10000 per annum so it's touch and go with him as well

My Daughter does horrendous mileage so for her diesel is a no brainer. Over 20+k per annum, maybe 25k+
I know she put 100k on a Vauxhall in just over 3.5 years

I didn't realise Vauxhall's could do 100k without exploding! 😀

Really annoying as we pre-paid at the airport on arrival this time and it's nose dived in price since then. Will know better next time - I wanted to avoid the faffing around on the last day as usually it's not that crazy a price difference.

Realised I was low on fuel on my way home this evening and rather than risk the 27 miles to home with 35 miles of fuel showing, I pulled into Hartshead Moor services on the M62. Diesel was priced at £1.559. Couldn’t bring myself to put more than 5 litres in.

Some places in the US it's down under $1.70 Now! Certainly it's the biggest and fastest drop I've seen since we were there in 2008 when prices went from $2.95 down to $2.09.

I wouldn't be too bothered about losing out by having pre paid though, it's so cheap there anyway you'll only have lost out on a few quid
