With a 5 year old an ironing board is not big enough lol its great at that age because everything is on big boxes
I need a full day and a dining room. I put my all my wrapping paper out, tape with a solid tape dispenser and scissors. I sit on one chair with gifts needing wrapping piled on two chairs and then put them on the on the other chairs once wrapped. Then they all get put in boxes or huge bags and hidden. Each of my three children have a different colour theme wrapping paper so no need for labels and it makes it really easy for Santa on Christmas Eve.
It saves my back too on the table, Christmas music blasting and a nice brew with biscuits to keep me going. Love it!
I finished yesterday 🤶🏻

ahhhh - 2 teens in our house... the presents seem to get smaller, fewer, and more expensive as they get older...

There is that!
I must admit I usually wrap in the bedroom, just to save trailing everything downstairs and back up again!
Hoping to do next week while kids still at school but think will bring down. Most stuff in suitcases but need to remember where hid various bits! Found some chocolate from last year in my kitchen cupboard the other week!

Thanks WhereIBelong, obviously not keeping up with the Christmas Threads! 😆
Will be getting more practice next week with the bulk of the wrapping to be done. I love to put on a Christmas film as I wrap, and will feel really festive as tree goes up tomorrow too. 🎄🎁

For a minute, I thought that this was a thread from Mickey House, talking about wrapping his wife's Christmas present 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I used the ceramic kitchen hob for the first time this year. It was so much easier standing up and I had all the bits on the right-hand side where I could see them.

Agreed - used the board for the first time last year, and will do again- always! I perch on the arm of the sofa and can reach everything easily. TV and drink (rarely tea in the evening!) at hand!

Ive done my big Christmas wrap on ironing board for some years now.
I call it the wrapping station! Wrapping gets done faster, neater and no backache or leg cramps.
Big tape dispenser on iron rest with scissors and pen to hand.
Jobs easy 😆

When I read this thread I thought what a great idea as I usually do all my wrapping on the bedroom floor and end up with achy joints. Decided to try it out this afternoon but found it impossible because I realised that all these years Ive been subconsciously using my foot as an extra hand to hold the paper in place while I sort the sticky tape out! Any one else use this technique or is it just me?
