Virgin Atlantic - no economy seats available

We're looking for flights with Virgin from Manchester on 21st October, but whenever I search it says there are no economy seats available, only premium and UC. Can the flight really be sold out already? Is Monday a popular day to fly?

Me again! 🤣 i had the exact same for mine. The virgin app was showing as no seats avail, yet netflights were selling me tickets. I booked anyway and when i put my booking reference into virgin, guess what... LOADS OF SEATS! So I wouldnt worry. Possibly a glitch maybe?

That's good to hear, thank you. Can't even get them through anyone else at the moment, but hopefully it is just a glitch in the system. We'll go from Gatwick if we need to, but Manchester is much easier for us. Ideally I'm holding out for reward flights 🤞

Economy availability is completely zeroed out for that flight. Being sold out already feels unlikely, though not impossible. More likely the revenue management team has done this while some other change is being made. Of course, it’s worth the call in case it is an error. The days either side are heavily sold, I guess this is half term.

Thank you. Hopefully it is something else that they're doing and not a completely sold out flight. It is half term, but I monitored flights for half term this year and there were seats available right up until the day - they even released a load of reward flights in August. Unless it's the Star Wars effect

Possibly down to the fact that my flight that day on VS73 has been dropped and only the morning flight VS75 operating.
People have been moved onto the morning flight.
Which flight are you looking at.
Plenty on VS 75 when I last looked

There's only one flight available, so that's the one I'm looking at. Just find it hard to believe that it's fully booked so soon after release. The 2 week return window only opened up a few days ago, so it's not even been on sale that long, although I realise it can be booked for different lengths of stay. Every other day is fine, it's just the 21st that seeks to have this anomaly

When did you book? Can you see the current seat map with availability?

I’ll have a look for you and let you know. I was moved from VS73 to VS75 so expect lots of people affected. My booking date was about the 23/24 th November.
Rumour on another post says they told 73 may be re instated but I very much doubt.
I had trouble booking outbound and had to get Customer service to add it and even now nothing shows on manage my booking , but does in VA.
When I checked tonight inbound I found my seats had disappeared but hopefully sorted now.

Are you wanting any particular section. I know bubble has gone

Check out the Delta website as they have a clear seat map.

Looks like there’s a decent amount of economy available for the 21st.

That’s for Manchester. Are you looking for Gatwick cos I’ll check that if you like?

No, I'm not fussy where we are. We do like the bubble, but at the moment I'd just be happy to be able to get prices for the flight as economy isn't for sale at all.

How did you manage to book so early when 4th November (inbound) has only been on sale for a few days?
