Sports Days still went ahead, school didn’t shut for snow and we could make ice slides in the playground and no one got hurt! 80s childhood telly, Christmas at school being so excited to watch a film, Battlestar Galactica! And having mad teachers throw your Christmas cards to you in assembly...and no one got hurt!

Then 90s as got really into Take That and went to concerts and started working and met my husband.

Aaaaah, reminisce sesh!

Born ’71 so the 80’s and maybe early 90’s for me. The music (Wham! A-ha, Madonna, Duran Duran, PetShop Boys, Thompson Twins, Erasure, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams - I could go on forever), the films (Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, ET, Terminator, Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun, Fame), and the clothes (puff shoulders, neon colours, gold necklaces, lace gloves, chessboard shirts, stockings in the hair, rolled up jacket sleeves, moonboots, legwarmers)

For me probably late 70s to mid 80s.

The Police, U2, Electro/ synth ( Tears for Fears, Japan, Human League etc.), Mod and Northern Soul revival.

Definitely the 70's, loved the glam rock era, platforms shoes, shaggy hair, Slade, Suzi Quatro, Bowie and Rod Stewart to name a few. Oh plus I started the decade as a dizzy teen and ended it married with two children and a mortgage.

The lyrics from the likes of Ian Dury were so classy such as billericay Dickie (part of the lyrics below):

Had a love affair with Nina
In the back of my Cortina
A seasoned up hyena could not have been more obscener
She took me to the cleaners
And other misdemeanours
But I got right up between her
Rum and her Ribena

In the 70s I saw quite a few singers/bands live such as:

George Benson
Earth wind & fire
Marvin Gaye
Rose Royce
Stevie Wonder
The Drifters
The Real thing
Roy Wood and Wizard

I know I saw other singers/bands but my memory in older age isn't what it was.
