Video Editing Software
I've encountered some issues with MAGIX Edit Pro software and find Cyberlink PowerDirecter petty unreliable, has anyone got any positive solutions/experiences with other software packages? It for my Gopro video and I use a Windows 8.1 Pro Dell Vospro 8GB RAM with 64-bit OS laptop.

I use Vegas Movie Studio. Yes it is owned by Magix but it was developed by Sony and sold recently to Magix. It is adaptable and intuitive. I have used versions of it for years.

i've been struggling massively with imovie recently, so a mate came over to show me a few tricks, and i ended up downloading "hitfilm express" and using that instead. its just so much more intuitive! i managed to do more in 10 minutes using hitfilm than i did in several hours of imovie.
its free too, although loads of the plugins/special effects are paid for. but they are only a few quid each, and the average user wont need many of them... (its available for both mac and pc) fxhome/hitfilm-express/ ill be having more of a play with it later today Edited at 08:44 AM. |

i've spent a few days playing with it now, and it is REALLY good.
fully functional video editing for free, but you pay for the addons (like special effect packs) that start from a few quid each. for someone who has struggled with video editing for years, this software is a revelation. i only wish i'd come across it years ago instead of banging my head against a brick wall with imovie (and FCPX to a certain extent) |
