Disney are just squeezing that little more out of us, they know we will pay it

with the new hotels planned and star wars land, they know they will fill the rooms

There seems to be loads of SSR for sale on the DVCResale email today! I wonder if the dues increase has influenced this or is it normal at this time of year?

As far as I am aware DVD will only vote for you if you don't turn up or don't assign someone else as a proxy.. which we know most people don't do either.

No this is not true. There is no vote at the meetings. Dvd cast their vote on behalf of all dvc members. The meeting is just a legal obligation noting more. Nobody has an actual say in the reports. You can voice opinion but thats it.
Democracy in action it is not. Disney maintains full control.

I just spoke to DH last night about selling our points before reading this.

I don't know if it is a good time or bad time to sell but seriously considering it.

Disney has lost its magic for us

I would think about renting through daves dvc rentals first. Unless you really need the cash.

As for a good tine to sell... Yes. Prices are high and the exchange rate is in your favour.
