Honestly (and this is for 4) without the glitch and using points to pay for the flights we would have been spending 30K ++!

but, wow... what an amazing place and holiday we had
Wow! How lucky with the price! We are looking at double this for 2 of us! Sounds amazing though xx

We did all our excursions diy which included a whale watching boat trip, renting a car in Anchorage, public buses (Juneau to the Mendenhall Glacier and then Mt Roberts Tramway and in Ketchikan to Totem Bight State Park $1pp each way in 2014).
We've sailed on Princess a lot and whilst we haven't done the Princess land tour to Denali, people we've spoken to raved about it, but it does look expensive. Lots of reviews on Cruisecritic.
I will take a look on Cruis3 critic, thank you x

We've done 2 Alaskan cruises and have a third booked on NCL Bliss in July 2019. The first two were on NCL too - Pearl and then Jewel.

An Alaskan Cruise really is so different from the usual cruise in the sun - firstly, some of the ports are only accessible by sea, the scenery is amazing and as has been commented above the excursions were all really good. In fact on both trips we didn't repeat ourselves except for the Lumberjack show"" Hahaha

We did both from Seattle and each was 7 days - Seattle is a wonderful city for 2 or 3 days too and VS fly in and out which makes it so easy.

There are plenty of options and cruise lines and plenty of prices so mu advice is to look at what you want to see and do and then that will help with your choice. CC has plenty of good posts and advice too

Not done a land trip as a part of the cruise but heard these can be wonderful too
