If you are there late Feb early March then I would head for the Strawberry Festival at Polk County, massive craft fayre, lots of food vendors, amazing live music etc etc, entrance fee $5

Loads of great places! Thanks for the suggestions I will have a good look! Helping me to get a bit excited about this trip , seems odd to be going without the family (youngest two gone to away to college this time and empty nest!)
So I haven’t really thought a lot about it as no planning necessary for parks/adrs etc.

I always recommend Silver Springs - glass bottom boat tours and you get to see a lot of wildlife (including wild alligators!). Beautiful place!
I'd also recommend Mount Dora too, we love it there

Another vote for Harry P Leu, Bok Tower and if you want a longer trip definitely St. Augustine, the Flagler College tour is good.

We love to go to Silver Springs, a truly beautiful place. And so many movies were filmed there too. Love the glass bottom boat ride. A great place to unwind and relax.
