I take iron tablets three times a day for siderblastic anemia, and have done for a couple of years, never had any problems or side effects.

I’ve been taking ferrous sulphate for years, since I started to become anemic with my 1st pregnancy.

I couldn’t get away with 3 x 200mg tablets so now just take 1 tablet.

I did stop taking them for a while but my hair started to thin so I started back up and it grew back again.

I think I generally run low on iron but I’m lucky enough for me to be able to take them without side effects. Especially constipation as that’s a big sudeffect.

Out of interest why have you been prescribed them? You may be feeling lethargic and headachy from being low in iron? Just a thought.

Hopefully you will start to feel better, but if not red meat and cabbage will be on order for every meal. 😂

I went to the DR with hair loss ( but I have been very stressed) I have been tired as well but since taking them I was nearly falling asleep yesterday lol
I had the blood tests done and have been prescribed them by the DR.
I am taking the 3 x 200mg a day.. Glad to know that my hair might thicken ...even my regular nurse could tell it was thinning
Hopefully I won't get the constipation lol

I have been on Ferrous Sulphate for about 2 years now. All side effects have settled, just got to keep taking them for your body to get used to it.
