Just submitted a group application for the 5 of us.

Authorisation Pending at the moment as I knew it would be but it is strange not being able to log back in a few minutes later to see Approved lol...not sure I like this feeling very much haha!

It was a guess that it was double-barrelled. But it doesn’t matter whether it’s double-barrelled or a middle name. Whatever is written in the chevron section 3 of the passport is what should be included in the First (Given) name section of the ESTA.

As it says on the ESTA application:

“Enter ALL names exactly as they appear on your passport in the First (Given) Name field [section 3 of the picture]. If a second or middle name is included in the First (Given) Name field on your passport, it must also be included here.”

So if the chevron section includes a middle name, it needs to be included. In the example, “Anna Maria” should be entered (even if Maria is a middle name).

Basically, just copy what’s in the chevron section. Seems straightforward enough?
