Which of these would you pay cash or dining credit?
It’s finally our turn tomorrow! Can you help me decide which of these to pay out of pocket instead of using dining credit? (I *think* we’re about 2 credits each person over the limit for the basic TS dining plan and I don’t want to cut any of these!) thank you soo much
Ps We’re 3 x adults and 1 x child if that helps Minnie’s Dine (fantasmic package) - dinner Crystal Palace - breakfast Bon Voyage - breakfast Kona Cafe - breakfast Boathouse (x2 credits) - dinner Cinderella’s Royal Table (x2 credits) - dinner Teppan Edo - dinner California Grill (x2 credits) - brunch (also paying for 2 more adults for this meal)

The breakfasts & I would probably look at CG brunch menu & price up what I would have - 2x TS is approx. a $90 "credit" so if you're not getting close to that , save them for another 2 TS meals.

I would probably save 2 credits and pay at the Boathouse, unless you are thinking of the lobster of course. Otherwise it's mains are very reasonable.

If you compare menus of signatures to non-sig then you’ll usually find that signatures are about 50% more expensive than regular TS. Common sense suggests paying for 1 sig rather than two regular if that’s the case.

Definitely use your DDP credits for CG Brunch - its recently increased to $90 per person, plus if on DDP you get a signature cocktail, so is a great use on DDP credits.
Have a look at the menu at Boathouse - I really wouldn't use 2 Credits here, a lot of the entrees are very reasonably priced ($18 ish for the sliders for example) and would be a waste of 2 Credits I think. I would use these 4 adult credits to pay for the extra 2 people at CG Brunch. Then pay out of pocket for Kona Cafe Breakfast too, and either Bon Voyage or Crystal Palace - have a look which is cheapest. Have an amazing time! |

If you’re two credits over each paying for one signature meal each may well be the best saving (they are not good use of dining credits based on cash value generally). That said, Kona is your cheapest meal on the list. Depends what you’re eating at the signatures though. If you go for the most expensive items they are better value for your credits. I’d price up what you’re likely to eat at Boathouse, Kona and Bon Voyage and do the maths.
