This has been in place for a few weeks now - when we were there we saw a few people using them! It's certainly not anything I'd ever pay for!

this is not the first time this has been done at DLP either - in previous years you used to be able to buy VIP fastpasses by the day.

I guess if you were there on New Year’s Eve for your one and only visit...?
You can buy something similar in Disneyland CA. Even in WDW you can pay for early access to some rides. I suspect the number of people who will shell out for this is tiny.

I wouldn't pay for them but lots of people must be - when we there a few weeks ago the fastpass lines were all huge! Peter Pan ride had lines of ropes added outside the fast pass entrance to deal with the length of the queue! I think it only took around 20 mins but personally I think that's still too long for a fast pass entrance

If I were going as a small group for a short trip in peak time I would consider it. There is also a discount for on site guests and the number of sales per day is restricted. I think it is good value compared to all the early morning hours and dessert parties etc offered at WDW.

Most of those will be the normal free FPs though, surely? Those aren’t going away.
That is standard for Peter Pan and Buzz which is why we do them at 8.30 with a 5 min wait! Edited at 08:46 AM. |

I don't know why people would be outraged? It doesn't replace the free option, but it does give an option to those who may only be there for a day or are travelling at peak time and want to make sure they get on all the biggest attractions.
