Anyone booked alamo through car hire labs?
Hi just looking for any feedback for 'car hire labs'? I'm definitely considering booking through dfch but car hire labs offers a small deposit to be paid now and pay the rest on collection. Also the information give on car hire labs seems quite vague, any opinions will be appreciated 😃

OK. I clicked on an Alamo car and it includes the requsite Insurances.
But - The basic price does not include obligatory charges such as local taxes, sales taxes, fuel, airport charges or facility fees and licence fees, which are charged directly by the rental company and are not collected by Car Hire Labs, since they vary from location to location. So that means you will have to also pay the 10% airport user fee, State taxes, battery & tire disposal fee etc etc. Add those on and it becomes an expensive hire. Have a look at their Reviews as well.

Not heard of them before or seen them mentioned on here. I also checked their reviews... Yikes, steer well clear.

You don't even need a deposit to book with DFCH so I would look at that option first.
Car Hire labs also charge a cancellation fee, so if you end up finding it cheaper elsewhere you'll be stuck. |

Ah just read the faq's balance is to be paid 8 weeks before! I've gone with dfch, they seem like a great company! Thanks for everyone's advice 😃

Eek!
We booked through car hire labs (having found them through a link on Moneysaving expert) and paid £12 deposit. Seems they no longer exist - says they are permanently closed on a google search - and we can no longer get on to their website.
We've booked with sixt now (and in fact got a better deal even though it's much closer to travel now!) but can't cancel the Car Hire Labs booking as there is no way to cancel if we can't get hold of them ... wary we may end up with a credit card fee when we travel next month ...

Totally agree. Better in your pocket than some bust company.
Do you know who the provider was going to be? If so could you contact them to cancel the booking?
