How accurate is the Dibb busy day guide?

We’re going in May 2019. Five months today we will be in the Magic Kingdom.

We land on the 7th and at the moment plan to have the whole first day MK but on the busy day guide it says on 8th May, MK is the least recommended park. How accurate is this? What are we looking at here?

We’re two adults with no children so we can get there early, not have to worry about taking breaks or stopping for any reason (other than food and to escape the heat etc) so will we be able to navigate a v busy day or is it just a bad idea?

Advice and thoughts welcome!

8th May MK has extra evening hours. So the park will get busier later in the day. If you are there for opening as you will be up early anyway it will be fine. I doubt you will make it till the evening anyway due to the time difference.

When we went in Jan/Feb we choose the most recommended park each day. It was always heaving & I commented to hubby that if we were there on the quiet days I dread to think what the busy days are like.

I know a lot of people now say there are no quiet days.

Having said that I have planned my park days around the busy day guide again for next year.

Fair enough. I’ll prepare for incredibly busy and anything less will be a bonus!

Oh right, so it’s taking the EEH hours into account as well. That makes sense. Thanks!

We are going in may 2019 too SO EXCITED! Last time we went I meticulously planned a schedule using the busy day guide and another website guide. I always think the first day should be MK and when we went it was predicted to be busy but wasnt too bad (we are also 2 adults no kids). This time im going to go with the flow more but will refer back to the busy day guide it's worthwhile. I have also done a lot of research into crowd levels these days and from what I can tell it's pretty busy most of the time in may and the guide reflects this! I recommend making a list of your must dos and everything else is a bonus. Have a great time!
