Thanks for the update...Not sure if this is a 'big' thing or just a 'thing' lol

That's a shame but suppose it was inevitable, reviews said how quiet they were.

I've got nothing to plan at the moment! Still a million years before we go, not making any ADRs this time, got flights & car sorted the other week and my annual leave has been authorised officially at work. So I'm just wasting time on the the dibb to get my florida fix and letting the days countdown

I guess it's just a 'thing' really. They didn't use to have the island markets pre refurbishment, only opened them to make things a bit more convenient for guests while the food court was closed.

😊

Yeah it has already been announced that they may close.
I bet they could probably do with getting those 2 rooms back to guest rooms too. 😊
My planning on a bit of a go slow atm too 😬

A photo of gondola/Skyliner works near HS.
Guess they will do tests like this at CBR at some point too? 😊

Disney announced “fall 2019” as the start date for Skyliner.
I’m no expert but does anyone think that surely they’ll be ready before then? 🤞

They do seem to have got a lot done already and I was thinking the same, but I was reading somewhere about everything that is involved in ensuring the gondola is fully ready, including:
finishing off cables, hanging gondolas, finishing all stations, staff training in all areas of operation and safety/evacuation procedures and full testing of gondolas - so I guess that might take some time.

Also I wonder if they want to start the Skyliner at the same time as the opening of the Riviera resort which is also scheduled to open in fall 2019.

They may surprise us though and open it earlier.

I'd like to know if the Skyliner will replace the buses to HS & Epcot from CBR or reduce the amount of buses to those parks, guess we won't find out that until the Skyliner is finished though.

😊

As far as I remember it was just high/low floor/corner room etc it was still showing Martinique as the only village you could request last time I was on it, but Martinique is preferred rooms again now.

Have you booked direct with Disney? If you have it's a good idea to ring them with your preferred location/floor etc. I know they can't be guaranteed, but from past experience, I've only not got what I requested once in the last few trips, but was moved on my first morning(at my request) 😊
