I would hate to work on a pre travel day, that should be all about the emptying of fridges, last minute cleaning and I have to say Chris is right with his need to unplug everything so as to avoid those (non existent) power surges which could result in a fire. You definitely shouldn't have actually had to do proper work, at the very least if you're forced to go in on pre travel day it should be all about the gloating that you're off to Florida! Still you got in the car eventually.

The hotel room looks lovely, so cheap for the parking.
