How easy is it for a blue badge holder in the UK to get the equivalent when hiring a car in Orlando? And what is the process?

Also, is there any allowance to get to the front of the rides or have to queue with everyone else?

Hi yes, check on special needs section. Loads of useful info on there. We emailed george woody and obtained a disabled parking permit - easy to do, all the links are in special needs section.

You need to read through the info re DAS pass for Disney. Which I found really useful too

Hi SB hin - below are the steps to apply for a temp placard via Orange County. May help you/others.

IMPORTANT: As per George Woody's instructions, Brits don't require a Dr to complete/sign, ignore that segment. One need only complete the very top section. In the box asking for Fl driving licence or ID number write 'NON US'.

Six weeks afore travel complete the top box on THIS FORM. My bro prints form, completes, signs and scans into his puter. He emails his holiday dates and attaches the form with copies of passport and blue badge (front & back), to:

TIP: on the form where it asks 'sex', the correct answer is M or F, not 'yes please!'

As already mentioned above very easy process if you follow the info above which helped us when we applied.

Within 20 minutes of my email I had called & paid the fee & received my permit the following week.

You can use it though to help with queues.

How does this work? Dies it mean you get closer to the front for parking at the parks or does it mea you get free parking

I think you still have to pay parking, just closer. You will need a DAS to help with queues for rides, not normally given for mobility problems though. X
