I enjoyed the episode and thought it was likely to appeal to a more mainstream audience. Loved the incidental/background music - at times it was a bit late 70s / early 80s. The camera work and direction was good too. It looked and sounded excellent.

My main criticism was of Jodie’s Doctor. Her portrayal seemed a little forced. It might just have been a way of showing that she was still a bit confused post-regeneration. Or maybe I’m still getting used to her. It took me a while to get used to the last two Doctors, so it’s probably that.

Any way. A promising start. Let’s hope it continues.

I had never heard of this before, but both myself and my daughter are very uncoordinated so it has made me wonder if we have this in some form. We cannot ride a bike, I have never managed to pass a driving test, DD has been having lessons for nearly a year and is finding it difficult and we are both quite clumsy.

I think it’s a good thing that programmes show certain health issues in this way to raise awareness. Especially in such as positive way as in Dr Who where someone with Dyspraxia is about to become the Dr’s assistant, it must be very inspiring for other sufferers

I enjoyed it. Couldn’t watch when the baddy had his teeth face showing though, it’s making me itch just thinking about it!
I do not like it being aired on Sunday evenings though, I’m at work! So inconsiderate

Do you have the hole phobia, I have it and the teeth on the face made me feel horrible, itchy and goosebumpy. X

Yes I do. It’s horrible isn’t it, even reading about it makes me feel awful. I was watching it with DH so he could tell me when I could look back at the screen but I’m hoping there’s no more of that type of thing this series!

Loved the new Dr. Really enjoyed the 1st episode! My ds has Dyspraxia so it was great to see that portrayed in a mainstream family show! Hope they continue to add to that during the series.

I really enjoyed the 1st episode but thought Sunday's was boring and didn't get going. Jodie reminds me of Matt Smith as the doctor shame they couldn't have given her some more sexy clothes to wear.

Why? Did Matt Smith need sexy clothes? Or David Tennant?

Wait, you mean bow ties aren't sexy?

Of course they didn't need to wear sexy clothes. But I bet it would have improved things for a number of viewers if they had.
