Mobile Car Parking Procedure

As a DVC member.
I understand that we do not need to pay parking at a DVC resort we are using or for the theme parks.
Do we show anything at gates or have something to put in the windshield.

Magic Band to get into the Resort and the Parks.

On check in day at the Resort you will need to show a driving licence and they check your name against the list in the security hut of guests staying. Thereafter it's your Band.

The dashboard paper passes have been dispensed with. Sadly really as they stopped people abusing the system

They gave me a dashboard pass at AKL in August. I stuck it in the window but didn't notice anyone else doing the same.
At Boardwalk he let me in with no magic band scan and I just parked up. No one tried to make me pay.
So in July/ August at least it was very inconsistent.

YT. Interesting about the dashboard pass as SSR was one of the last to get rid of them.

However I do know they still have them as I have seen them coming out the printers! I thought they were a great idea and certainly speeded up the toll plaza process at the Parks.

Maybe Disney calculated they could save money by dispensing with them as every cent counts as we know.

Is the parking fee waived just for people who buy their points through Disney or resale as well?

Just I have done the tour yesterday and I was led to believe it was only for people who bought direct through Disney?

Thanks

We didn’t get a paper for Saratoga and thought they had forgotten but didn’t go back as have AP! Thanks for clearing that up

DVC Members park for free at DVC resorts be they direct or resale purchasers.

In addition they park for free if they are staying on a cash booking at that DVC resort.

I think your Guide was being economic with the truth!

That’s why you don’t buy based on a sales tour and do your own research! This type of thing makes me very mad.

DVC members pay dues, part of which pay for the car parks, the security etc. They couldn’t legally charge any DVC member for something they are already paying for.

Quite odd it was with the pass. My son had left his cuddly toy on Boardwalk. They delivered it to Kidani (with a ‘friend’- great touch) and when we came in the room there was the bags with the toys in and a car park pass on top of the bag, printed out with our name etc saying put in windshield. I thought they must give everyone them but looking at other cars I didn’t see others.

We stayed at Copper Creek, Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom this September. We did cash booking at SS and no paper pass. The other two bookings were with points and one hotel issued us a paper pass and one didn't.
We only used the paper pass at the park gates as they waived us straight through with it in the window.
