We are staying in the Westin Grand which looks very central and I’ve spotted on the map it’s on the same road as Maximilians so we’ll definitely go in there for a meal!

That's a great location as it's right near the Unter Den Linden which is the road that runs up and down the centre of the city. You will be barely 5 minutes from the Brandenburg Gate which is lovely. I hope you have a brilliant time.

We booked last minute too in the EasyJet sale but as you know we did Munich. Berlin is a direct flight for us so we really need to visit. I have no excuse now I have a plan to follow!

Ah, was Munich good? A friend of mine got some great Easy jet flights and hotel for Rome. Berlin was great fun. I hope you enjoy reading about it.

Just found your report, so will be reading along too. We are quite new to city breaks, did New York last year and Venice this year. Quite like the idea of a German city, so looking forward to this.

I agree writing trip reports is addictive, I may do one for our Croatia trip next year (May have finished our Florida one by then 😀 ), they are great to look back at.
