Mobile adjoining room/hotel with seperate sleeping space for young child

Hi All

We have always stayed in a villas but am contemplating a hotel but our 3 year old will never sleep in the same room as us. Especially for a full 2 weeks.

How does it work? I can't see any options on travel sites for adjoining rooms/ rooms with patricians/ 2 bedroom hotel rooms?

Does everyone just share the room with kids onsite and offsite?

There are some options on site, like the family suites at both all star music and art of animation, off site, I’m not too sure outside of villas/townhomes. But I’m sure others can advise

I wouldn’t recommend adjoining rooms, simply because these are never garunteed on site and with a 3 year old, I’d like the reassurance

There are suite hotels that comprise of a lounge/kitchen area with a bed settee and a separate bedroom. Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Sonesta ES are the ones that immediately spring to mind.

We stayed in a 2 bed suite at Grande Villas resort for one night this year, they do have 1 bed suites however it isn't much difference in price for a 2 bed and that has the advantage of washer and dryer rather than having to go to a laundry room and is more than double the size! There are plenty of resorts around Lake Buena Vista and Idrive that have a similar set up and some even offer free buses to the parks.

Yes we have always just shared with the kids. We only use the room for sleeping and showering so no hardship really and not worth the extra cost of 2 rooms or an on-site villa (we/they prefer to share and stay at Disney than have 2 rooms offsite).

When ours were small we shared on holiday (not Florida), they accepted that holidays were different to the norm and got straight back into their normal routine once home.

Hi, asking out of genuine interest and not to try and prove any point or argument.

How did you as adults find not having your own time in the evening to chill etc all being in one room? Personally we swear by 2 bed properties mostly for this reason, and snacking on american treats without being begged at! and having a couple of cheeky beers in the evening. We have a 2 year old and a 5, and didnt really enjoy sharing the room in dlp when we went, as they could stay up a little later then normal, but didnt like having an earlier bedtime for myself when on holiday.

Mainly asking for research for our future holidays (not just Disney), as it seems a lot of European holidays are mainly 1 bedroom.

Really interested in your opinion.

A balcony is very useful
When my son was small we'd sit out on the balcony or book a Embassy or Homewood Suites. ...with 2 beds in the bedroom . We'd put him to bed and hang out in the lounge like we would at home. I don't go for kids bedtimes for myself when on holiday either
