JFK- time from landing til hotel
Hi all
We land at 9:20 at JFK. How long do you think it will take for is to get through customes and get a cab to Time Sq? Its a Sunday if that makes any difference? I want to book brunch and debating what time? Was hoping for around 1? Thanks all |

This links to the Average USCB Wait times so will give you an idea, a quick scan showed approx 30m max wait on a Sunday morning. Taxi would be from 30m to 1hr I'd guess even on a Sunday

Immigration will depend to some extent on which terminal, but you should be fine if the flight is on time.
Although amount of traffic is lighter, you often find some of the tunnel lanes into Manhattan closed at weekends, so traffic delays around this area do happen. That’s a very early arrival for an international flight from Europe, interested to know where you are flying from. |

We arrived on a Sunday, difficult to remember but think we landed about 4 at JFK. Got through immigration fairly quickly and our driver was waiting for us so straight into car. We stayed at The New Yorker and it took a good two hours to get there. Didn’t matter which way the driver went the traffic was awful. We were delighted to get onto 34th Street but it took a good 20 minutes to go a couple of blocks.

I was there in September. Only 25 mins from plane to waiting for a cab but then the traffic was awful. Well over 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs to get to 37th Street. It may be quicker getting the train than a cab.
