Last Day In Florida.

Newbie question...

We are staying at Disney Caribbean Beach next October and booked flights separately. It now turns out that we will have 1 extra night in Florida before our return flight from Tampa.
My question is... I need to book a hotel for 1 night and would like to hear your recommendations for my extra night/day. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (9 & 5 year old).

I would try and extend your stay at CBR. Failing that renting Disney’s Vacations Club points to stay at one of the deluxe resorts.

Oh yes, try and extend your stay is the way to go. Otherwise you lose a large part of that extra day in moving and I hate living our of a suitcase.

I would enjoy your last day at CBR in full and then drive down to Tampa area and stay there overnight as you are flying home from Tampa.

Either stay near Tampa and spend day at Busch Gardens or stay at Clearwater or St Pete’s Beach for a relaxing beach day

We had this predicament last year, we extended our stay at Disney so we could enjoy the extra day in the parks rather than moving hotels.

Thanks for the replies, its appreciated. I have spoken to Disney and extending our stay at CBR is not an option as our room is not available. I'll check out some of these recommendations. Thanks.

If you’re doing universal studios you could reduce your CBR stay by 1 or 2 nights and then stay at a universal hotel for 2 or 3 nights giving you fast passes.
Packing and moving hotel for 2 or 3 nights doesn’t seem so painful especially if you’re going to a nice hotel you haven’t been before.

Iwould book one night at a universal hotel
That gives you 2 days fast passes
if you arrive early the first morning you can leave all you luggage there...pick up your fast past allocation at the desk when you book in..
I would just pack a hand luggage style suitcase to take up with you later
You will only need one room 2 queen beds..will accommodate you and the children
Next day enjoy some early time at the parks..till you need to go to the airport
Pick up all luggage from hotel before you leave
2 good days at those parks and problem solved!

Ooooo… Do the fast Passes come as part of the hotel booking or do they need to be purchased separately?
