Alamo Standard SUV
Hi. Off to Orlando in 10 days for 3 weeks with wife & 3 kids. Have booked a Standard SUV with Alamo who state on their website that this will be a Hyundai Santa Fe or equivalent. The description also says that it is suitable for 5 people and 5 pieces of luggage.
Just starting our packing and considering squeezing all of our contents into 4 suitcases rather than 5 as I’m not convinced that the boot (trunk) on the Santa Fe will be able to take 5 cases. I’m also thinking that whilst we might only take 4 suitcases with us there’s a chance we might be bringing 5 back with us! Has anyone hired a Standard SUV (specifically a Santa Fe) in the past and is the boot large enough for 4/5 cases? |

Family have just come back and found my mondeo had more space for luggage than the standard suv .
They had 4 cases as well as some hand luggage and had to put a seat down. But you can always put luggage on your laps for the half hour to your accomadation Rob |

We had a Chevy Traverse for a STD SUV from Alamo and you will easily get five suitcases in it. Just pacy them vertically next to each other. The tops will be slightly higher than the seat tops, but that’s about it
That’s a piccy of the back. |

Just had a standard SUV - we got 3 suitcases in the back, plus a 28” holdal and 2 hand luggage you could also add a hand luggage in the front foot well. Any more and you would definitely struggle.

Our Standard SUV was a Dodge Journey which would have accommodated 5 cases. However, previously we had a Santa Fe which would not accommodate 4 large cases.

the Traverse is classed as a premium crossover (you got upgraded :p )
it's a 7 seater, and has a fair bit more space than a STD SUV (due to the 3rd row of seats you can collapse and turn into very valuable additional boot space) you really can't compare the traverse with any car normally sitting in the STD SUV row like the santa fe. (We also got a traverse a few rentals back. Very nice car, but not a STD SUV) Edited at 09:51 PM. |

We had a Santa Fe in 2016; we fitted 4 large cases and 2 carry on small cases in easily and we didn’t have play suitcase Tetris! I think it was a 7 seater IIRC and with the back row of seats down, the boot was cavernous. I’m certain you will be fine.
