We went for the first time this year. Unfortunately we didn't like the menu choices at all, the seats were extremely uncomfortable and the queues for food were so long. We definitely wouldn't go again

We love Boma and eat there every trip. There’s a carving station, salads, bread and dips, African selections, basic children’s choices and a great dessert station.
It’s a large open space so yes the sound travels and the shape of the restaurant will make the noise bounce back off the walls but I can’t say it’s something we actually notice while we are eating. We’ve never had an issue with long queues though we tend to eat around 6pm with kids that don’t eat late, I notice in the states that a lot of people eat tea later than we would around 7 or 8. The seats are unpadded wooden seats like you’ll find in the vast majority or restaurants. Night vision at Jambo house is located at the viewing point behind the pool, or has been there every year we’ve been. Edited at 08:54 AM. |

Not sure whether or not to keep this booking ... still pondering whether we will get value or if we should go to one of the other AK options and just pay for what we want rather than a buffet ...

Excited about Disney

Food very mediocre at Boma and very expensive. Very busy and noisy. Been once but wouldn't visit again, plenty better places.

Boma isn’t my favourite place to eat at AKL but I would say it’s worth trying once.
I don’t really like buffets But the carving station was great and some of the soups are nice. I may have overindulged as I felt dreadful afterwards. |
