Mobile 3 nights at Disney hotel

Hi there,
We’re planning our first family trip to Florida and would like to have a short stay at a Disney hotel (maybe art of animation) for 3 nights at the start before heading to our own villa. Can someone please confirm if I can book for 3 nights as all bookings seem like minimum 5 nights? Also I want to be able to get the 60 day fast passes - do I have to book the hotel through Disney to get them or do you still get them if you book through an operator for a Disney hotel.

Any recommendations on how to go about this and advice greatly appreciated!

Should be able to book 3 nights without purchasing tickets etc. Personally I would book via Disney as would link immediately to MDE. Would give you booking at 60 days on a rolling basis, free magic bands and free parking for your duration.

You can book any number of nights that you wish. If doing it direct through Disney you have to select the hotel only option. You can also book through third party agents if you prefer as some of them can have better prices. You'll get 60 day fastpass booking regardless of who you in book through. At 60 days you'll be able to book your first 4 days worth of fastpasses including check in and check out day. For the rest of your holiday it will be at 60 days on a daily rolling basis.

Depending on the type of Disney hotel you’re looking at, you may be better renting DVC points. There’s a section on the Dibb on DVC, and there are a couple of companies that you can rent from. We did this this year, and it linked to MDE straight away. You also get 60 day FPs and magic bands.

I agree with this. We are staying in a villa next year and wanted 2 nights at a Disney hotel. We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn and Villas and have saved about 50% on the cost. The only downside is availability but we had a choice of 3 deluxes for our dates at 11 months out.

When I was looking for 1 night for my niece the cheapest was WDW UK for All Stars Movies at £93. Not bad as it includes free parking

The minimum nights with Disney will be linked to an offer, ie free dining or free nights. We booked 2 nights through Expedia last year.

You need to select hotel only and then you can book 1+ nights. If you look at hotel + tickets then it is a minimum of 5 nights.

Thanks loves2plan! Working now trying to add 3 nights on my solo trip next year but unsure what to do... was supposed to be staying the 3 nights at universal but the £740ish price tag is making me wince! Lol Coronado springs is only £495 and I could possibly save even further if I hold out for the 11 month DVC window!

Decisions.. decisions
