Disney tickets and magic bands

Disney site are selling tickets with free magic band. Does anyone know if these are linked to the tickets. We don’t need bands but tickets are the cheapest at minute and thought I could sell the bands. Any help appreciated.

What I have read is that you pick the bands up from Disney Springs world of Disney Store. They will ask if you want them linked to your tickets which you pick up from Disney Guest Relations office . So you should be able to sell them if you wish .

They are definitely not linked to the tickets. I bought the tickets yesterday and got my “will call” confirmation this morning. I’ve used the confirmation number to link the tickets to my MDE account. At the bottom of the “will all” confirmation document is a voucher to collect the MB

If we have to collect tickets at guest relations can we still link tickets to our bands before we go to get fast passes?

You can link your tickets to MDE with the Will Call number. My tickets wouldn't link for some reason, but I called Disney on their 0800 number and they sorted it out for me.

You can't link the bands to your tickets until you pick them up.

We're interested in this offer too, but...

The offer says it is on until 1st April. We do not visit until August. If we buy our tickets now (before 1st April), would we still be entitled to Magic Bands in August, and if so, would the have any left?

I emailed Disney and their answer wasn't clear, so I am awaiting a second response.

We will probably be upgrading to APs while we're out there too.

Also just to add, we had bands in September when we went and they were added to our my disney account automatically even though the tickets weren't. We didn't get the option of not adding them and once added they can not be transferred.

Were yours tickets picked up at your hotel though Sarah? That's standard practice and the fact they are linked is part of the service. These are being picked up at a store so it isn't the same.

Yes, you'll be entitled to the Toy Story MagicBands. Whether they'll have any left is another thing.

As it says in the Ts&Cs on Disney's website:

"Toy Story Land MagicBand is available for ticket-only bookings only. Book a Disney's 7-Day Ultimate Ticket, Disney's 14-Day Ultimate Ticket or Disney's 21-Day Ultimate Ticket between 3rd December - 1st April 2019 for arrivals between 1st January - 31st December 2019 and receive a Toy Story Land MagicBand for each ticket purchased".
