Icelandair - via Reykjavik

Has anyone recently flown to MCO with Icelandair via Reykjavik?
Would be interested in your opinions of the experience.

We have twice. The airport is not huge. Just keep mind..if you are flying economy...you have to pay for food etc and it's not that good. We opted to eat at the airport and then bought sandwiches at the kiosk to eat later on the plane.
The seats weren't too bad. They use to offer 2 free ck in bags but.they have stopped..sadly.
We just booked our tickets yesterday and flying SAS. We decided to treat ourselves to Premium Economy this time heh.

We flew back from Orlando on this route last month and it was great - we were in Premium though so had meals included and 2 bags.

It was a shock to the system to have to get off the plane at Reykjavik directly onto the tarmac at 6am whilst it was 1 degree and blowing a gale

Thanks for the feedback so far. We're flying from Glasgow in economy so will only have 1 bag each but that's okay and we can buy food for the plane so not worried about meals. The prices for the flights were too good to pass up especially as we're paying for 6 adults!

We've done it several times big bonus no stupid early rise and usually a very empty immigration hall at MCO and for us a very short turn around on the way home no long wait at Gatwick

hi, we did this route in March 2017. price plus 2 x checked bags was determining factor and i was pleasantly surprised with the flight. As per previous comments, Airport at Reykjavik is not huge but it is nice and quiet and clean. Not sure when you are going but make sure you have something warm as it was -5 and so windy when we got off the plane! We have booked to come back with them next April. I booked Norwegian direct to FLL going out and Tampa back to Gatwick via Reykjavik.

Yes we used them for the last three Easter trips and have booked next Easter the flights are good, times suit us and the price is cheaper than other airline. We don't mind the stop at KEF it's only for a couple of hrs, it's a small airport but it has been extended in the last 12 months.

We've used them a couple of times and no complaints at all.
Our previous visits had a 5 hour wait outbound so we had a trip to the Blue Lagoon to help pass the time.

We are looking at spending a week in Toronto before flying down to Orlando and Icelandair are very competitive.
