Busch Gardens Annual Pass vs One Day Passes

Hi,

After some advice and to see if my calculations are correct!

There are 7 of us and we are visiting Busch Garden for a day in August. 7 one day advance tickets are $84.99 each, meaning $594.93 in total.

But if I get a Gold Annual pass at $217.88, I can get 2 free passes and also up to 6 more passes at 50% off (4 needed at $43.50 each - taking the on the gate price of $107). This comes to a grand total of $431.88, meaning saving about $160! And this is without factoring in the free parking and the savings on food, drink and merchandise.

Do my calculations look correct? Am I missing anything here? The only thing I could think of was that both free passes maybe could not be taken on the same visit, but then even adding another 50% off ticket, still means it is cheaper.

Has anyone used a Busch Gardens AP in this way?

Thanks all.

I haven't worked out all your calculations lol but don't forget that when you're buying the tickets online they add tax and a service fee, so the total cost for the 7 adult 1 day advance tickets is $655.53.

I think all your prices above will have to have tax added and 1 service fee of $9.99 if you're booking all together [unless you have already done this, please accept my apology if you have].

Yes, which means the higher cost has more tax involved, making the savings greater!

I might drop Busch a line asking if there are any restrictions on the free tickets and the 50% off ones.

That's exactly what I thought when I added the tax and service fee to the tickets

When you find out the answer from Busch could you put it on here as it will help for future reference.

Sent an email and had an email less than 2 hours later! Good customer service.

So as Kimberly has stated both Free tickets can be claimed in the same ticket and 50% guest passes are obtained on the gate, at the gate price. So even adding in the tax, etc, the gold annual pass route saves over $150!

Hi Mark,

Thank you for contacting SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment®.

Yes, both free ticket may be redeemed at the same time. Please be advised that the free tickets have blockout dates. The 2019 blockout dates are March 1-April 30, June 1-July 31, Oct. 1-31, Nov. 25-Dec. 31. The 50% off tickets are off a full price gate ticket, $109.99, plus tax. Yes, you may purchase all the tickets at the same time. Please visit the Ticket Windows to do so.

Again thank you for contacting us at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment®. We hope to see you soon!

Best regards,

Kimberly
