Aer Lingus have been given US approval to join the Oneworld transatlantic joint venture would allow this to happen. (They are not becoming full member of Oneworld as yet).

They have also announced they are ending their deal in 2022 with Stobart Air who provide a lot of the UK - Ireland feeder flights.

Richard Branson would throw a tantrum over this potential move. Therefore, I cannot see it happening

Who owns Aer Lingus at the moment... IAG who own... BA... and with Virgin operating out of Manchester I would think the new boss of IAG Mr Gallego (who incidentally was boss of Aer Lingus) will relish going up against VA again! ... hope we as passengers win with the competition...

You basically do everything you do at the desk in Orlando at at desk in the departure airport before you leave. On arrival you skip the immigration area and go straight to bag claim like an internal flight would.

I think this would be great. We lack options at Manchester and I’d hope more competition would make prices more competitive.

Ooh! I love the sound of that! Fingers crossed. How much does it cost at Dublin at the moment and how long does it take?

Pre clearance for USA at Manchester was definitely mentioned as part of the transformation of the airport

I could see it being popular if it was reasonably priced and they need to claw back some money.

There's no extra charge, the airport pay the US to provide the service to attract more passengers.
