Sat in the front seat of my dads car without a seatbelt changing the gears for him

My friend when I was a child was on Jim’ll Fix It. She got to sing with the band Dollar and I was so jealous.

I remember my friends 7th birthday party - her dad took 8 of us to the swimming pool in his 5 seater car. I was sat behind the drivers seat in the footwell

Played on a building site and used to climb up the scaffolding to the roof.

Worked on a relatives farm in the summer - can’t say too much but it involved a scalpel !

Made a Christmas cake aged 12 and we had to take a syringe including needle and small brandy into school to “feed” the cake 😲( 40 years ago )

Walking along neighbours walls and balancing hoping that I didn’t fall off!
Dartmoor was my playground so at 10 and 11 years old I’d just be off for the day just coming home to eat and then off out again straight away.
Bathing in a freezing river with friends without being able to swim.
Running through a farmers field hoping not to get caught before playing in a disused railway line!
At 12 years old using my pocket money to get on any trains without plans and just ending up in unknown places like Falmouth, Newquay then exploring and returning home without even being missed!
