April 21 booking, do I change?

Hi, I know no-one has a crystal ball but I'll looking to see what others in the sanr position think.
Having had to cancel 2 weddings last year and our wedding, we rebooked for April 2021.
I don't want to loose all the money, or any if possible but I don't feel comfortable either travelling or being in the florida gear wearing a face mask.
Do you think the travel agent wullcabc the holiday refunding the balance? Or do I book a cheaper holiday through the travel agent and ask for refund?

Hey Bashful - I was also meant to be getting married in Florida April 2021 so feeling your pain!

We decided last weekend to write to our vendors and let them know we would be cancelling / postponing - though we're not sure which yet! Responses have been mixed in terms of helpfulness so I think ask for whatever option you prefer and see what your agent says.

We were meant to be going in June and took the decision to cancel last weekend.
Speak to your TA and see what they advise / what they can do for you, we expected to lose £3000 by cancelling , £1k deposit and £2k on universal tix bought in 2019 for our cancelled 2020 trip.
Virgin said we would lose the deposit but when I asked if they could "hold" the deposit she came back and said yes so they are keeping that for us for a year. I tweeted about losing the Universal ticket money and Universal themselves came back to me and because i didnt buy from them they couldnt refund but what they have done is keep my numbers on file and whenever we finally get back - no time limit she said - then they will exchange those tickets for us to tickets for the year we go meaning we wont lose out on that either.
So def worth speaking to everyone and seeing what can be done for you if you decide to cancel xx
