Bizarre Road Rage This Morning

So in slow moving traffic approaching a roundabout with traffic lights. Nothing behind me. As we approach a side road, t two cars waiting to come out. Car In front let’s first car out. I keep going as still nothing behind but second car is trying to force her way out. I keep going and she filters in behind me and starts gesturing towards me.

We stop at lights and she gets out cand approaches me. Conversation went as follows

Her -do you have a thing about letting women drivers out
Me- Er, no
Her - so why wouldn’t you f****** let me out
Me- because there’s nothing behind me
Her - So f******* what
Me - well if you’d been observing you’d see you could have easily pulled out behind me and no dramas

She then proceeded to call me an ignorant C

At this point the light was green so I drove off

She got back in her car and proceeded to gesture to me until she went off in a different direction

I don’t think I did anything wrong, but she was a. very angry lady

It’s the new world. People are void of any common sense anymore.

Entitled and rude glad you drove off, hope she felt stupid at coming out the car.
Just know that she’s the type to scream about being bullied when she’s the bully infact.

Scary and sad to think someone can be so rude and confrontational over something so trivial. You did nothing wrong, it made no sense for you to let her out when there was a gap behind you, plus you certainly don’t have to let other drivers out of side roads anyway.

So many drivers seem to have no patience anymore and it must be the cause of a lot of accidents and even more incidents of road rage.

Did she refer you to the page in the Highway Code where it states "I must be let out at a junction"? Thought not.

Am fed up with entitled drivers who think they have the right of way to be let onto the main road either from on slips or side roads. They all seem to have forgotten their Highway Code and how to drive.

Was she in a Tesla/Range Rover as there is new section img thr Highway Code giving these cars elevated rights over other cars so you may well have been in the wrong.

I bet if you had let her out she would be the type that wouldn’t have thanked you either.
You spoke to her like a gentleman, more than she deserved - and how lucky she was - next time it might be someone with as ugly an attitude as she has.
