You can get a new premiere access pass every 60 minutes and a new 40th anniversary pass every 2 hours. New standby passes can only be gotten after your previous standby pass has been used.
Also, the premiere access for shows and attractions are on different systems (though they don't generally advertise this fact), so you can actually get a pass for an attraction and a show at the same time. So if you go in at park entry you can get one of each pass, then by 9am you can get your second (and likely last) premiere access pass, at 10am you can get another 40th anniversary pass (again, likely your last before they run out). So if all goes well you should have two premiere access passes for rides, one premiere access pass for a show, two 40th anniversary passes, and one standby pass by 10am. And if you're lucky and end up going on a quieter day, you may get a chance at a third premiere access pass and 40th anniversary pass for rides. People complain about how complicated the WDW lightning lanes options are these days, imagine they brought this system over to America, people would riot! Edited at 10:24 PM. |

The premiere passes are the ones you pay for? Now we got Baymax on our first full day and it definitely said that you could not get another premier pass until you had used this one, not after an hour. I remember this specifically as we had been thinking of getting Beauty & the Beast but that was not until 3pm and we said to each other that it was a good job we got Baymax (at 10:30am) in case we wanted another as if we had got B&tB we would have been blocked out until then.

Our first day was 7 Nov. The first day of the Christmas season was 8 Nov and it made a notable difference to crowds.
We booked an extra day ticket while there as we were getting frustrated at not doing everything. We did not arrive super early but people were definitely outside the park several hours before opening. This meant that if you arrived about 8:30, by the time you got through the gates and could book things, it was about 9:15 and many things such as restaurants were already booked out for the day.

Hmm strange glitch though, to put up a completely different message (we never saw any availability for standby so I am not mixing them up). I wonder if they temporarily changed it because it was so busy.
